Our family business is a second generation, American, diversified supplier of textiles. My dad, a classic American success story, spent 25 years learning the fabric business before starting Blank Textiles. Hungry only for opportunity, he entered the business merely because his sister was a secretary there. A very driven man, Dad started at the bottom as sample boy, cutting swatches, working for that same company. He eventually became senior most vice-president, generating the majority of sales. When the boss did not allow Dad to become part owner, he started Blank Textiles, gambling my parent's entire life savings of $60,000 (that Mom had squirreled away).
Today, Blank Quilting is entirely focused on the quilting community, providing designer fabrics exclusively for independent quilt and fabric shops. While the craft of quilting continues to grow in popularity at all skill levels, our fabrics are designed specifically for the dedicated quilter for whom only the highest quality, inspirational patterns will do.
You have my personal commitment that the family values Dad instilled in our business of hard work and relentless customer satisfaction will only continue to grow as Blank Quilting expands and flourishes. As part of our growth, Blank Quilting has also committed to the cause of ovarian cancer awareness, bringing together the quilting community to address this terrible disease. Charitable giving is in the spirit of dedicated quilters everywhere, and is an essential core value to Blank Quilting.
On a personal note, it is my sincere hope and one of my lifetime goals to continue our family business into the next generation through my daughters Elana and Paula. So while Blank Quilting means design inspiration for the dedicated quilter, it has a special additional meaning for me continuing our proud family business for a third generation.
